LATEST FIGURES: REVISED NATIONAL ACCOUNTS DATA FOR THE YEAR 2007

According to a revised estimate by the Statistical Service, G.D.P. for the year 2007 is expected to reach € 15.596,3 mn at current prices from € 14.435,2 mn in 2006 and € 12.598,3 mn at constant prices (of 2000) from € 12.062,1 mn in 2006. The growth rate in real terms is estimated to reach 4,4% in 2007, compared to 4,1% in 2006.
The revised estimate is due to the incorporation of latest figures concerning General Government (minor revisions in Government Consumption and taxes) and the Balance of Payments (revisions to Exports and Imports of goods and services).
Furthermore, due to latest figures from the Central Bank of Cyprus and other administrative sources concerning the net factor income from the rest of the world, Gross National Income (G.N.I.) has also been revised for the years 2004-2007.
