The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Kazakhstan presented his credentials

On December 10, 2019, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Kazakhstan (with residence in Moscow), Mr Andreas Zenonos, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, mr Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Ak Orda, in Nur-Sultan.

The Ambassador conveyed to the President of Kazakhstan the greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, as well as the wish to further strengthen and develop our bilateral relations with Kazakhstan. 

In his remarks after the credentials ceremony, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan congratulated the newly accredited Ambassadors and expressed his government's readiness to further strengthen Kazakhstan's relations with the Ambassadors' countries. 

The Ambassador of Cyprus had also a brief meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr Roman Vassilenko, during which they exchanged views and reaffirmed the excellent level of bilateral relations between Cyprus and Kazakhstan. Mr Zenonos briefed Mr Vassilenko on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue, as well as Turkey's illegal actions in the Cyprus EEZ.
