Total Employment for the 1^st quarter of 2020 is estimated at 428.157 persons, of which 377.459 are employees and 50.698 are self-employed.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2019, total employment for the 1^st quarter of 2020 increased by 2,4%. The most significant percentage increases were observed in the economic activities of Construction (ΝΑCE F), Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities (NACE M), Other Service Activities (NACE S) and Administrative and Support Service Activities (NACE N). Decrease compared to the 1^st quarter of 2019, was observed in the Financial and Insurance Activities (NACE K).

Actual hours worked for the 1^st quarter of 2020 are estimated at 192.392 thousands; an increase of 0,4%, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2019.
