The Ministry of Interior announces that on the basis of a Decree by the Minister of Health and a Decision of the Council of Ministers, a Special committee has been set up to examine applications for the granting of special entry visa to persons from countries not belonging to Categories A and B, in accordance with the categorization of countries based on risk assessment, as these are announced by the Ministry of Health and are concerned with the following cases:

(1)   First degree relatives of persons permanently residing in the Republic and/or financially active in the Republic (spouse, children, parents) for purposes of family reunification, and

(2)   Persons, regardless of nationality, whose coming to the Republic is necessary for the implementation of public projects or for the fulfillment of other professional obligations

After obtaining the special visa from the Committee, these persons should make certain to obtain also the CyprusFlightPass through the special on-line platform of the Republic of Cyprus.

It is hereby clarified that all immigration formalities remain in force and for this reason the legal procedures should be followed based on the Aliens and Immigration Law. For example, if an entry visa or an entry visa and work permit, etc., to the Republic are required they must be obtained from the competent authorities of the Republic.

It is stressed that persons wishing to come to Cyprus should make all necessary arrangements promptly in order to obtain all the required approvals and permits.

Applications to the specific committee for granting of special entry visa have to be submitted electronically to Covid19@crmd.moi.gov.cy and the following information of the applicant has to be included:

1)      Country of origin

2)      Name and surname (as it appears on the passport or the identity card)

3)      Nationality

4)      Phone number
