The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January – February 2018. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the sixth digit commodity code and by partner country.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

1. Total imports in January – February 2018 amounted to €1.224,8 mn as compared to €1.165,1 mn in January – February 2017. Total exports in January – February 2018 were €390,8 mn compared to €353,1 mn in January – February 2017. The trade deficit was €834,0 mn in January – February 2018 compared to €812,0 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.
2. Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January – February 2018 were €203,0 mn compared to €184,4 mn in January – February 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January – February 2018 were €183,4 mn compared to €163,5 mn in January – February 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January – February 2018 were €18,1 mn compared to €17,4 mn in January – February 2017.
