Cyprus ranks 4th among EU member states in terms of administration of doses per 100 inhabitants

Schedule of appointments for 14-16 May 

39.6% have already been vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine by May 11 (293,180 people), while 12.4% have completed their vaccination regimen (91.459 people). With these data, and with the total number of vaccinations administered in Cyprus reaching 384,639, our country, according to the website OurWorldInData, ranks 4th among the EU member states, in terms of the administration of doses per 100 inhabitants.

The effort to achieve the goal set for vaccination, with at least the first dose, of 65% of the population that can be vaccinated within the first half of the year continues at an intensive pace and with the aim of providing citizens aged 18 and over the possibility to schedule a vaccination appointment during the month of May. At the same time, effort is made to give people of older age groups a second chance to make an appointment, if they have not already done so.

Therefore, the Vaccination Portal will open for appointments on May 14-16 as follows:

The Vaccination Portal will only be accessible to people of the age groups described in the table above. Appointments will be made at the Vaccination Centres that operate in all Districts, with the available vaccines. Scheduling for the availability of appointments that will follow will be announced in the coming days. It is noted that on Thursday, 13 May, the Vaccination Portal will remain closed.

Finally, it is reminded that the process of vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine by Personal Doctors is underway for the beneficiaries aged 30 and over who wish it. So far, about 25,000 doses of the vaccine have been given to doctors who have expressed an interest.
