Charalambos Charalambous was born on September 30, 1983 in Athens and grew up in Lemesos. He is a refugee from the occupied villages of Massari, Morfou and Vatili Ammochostou.

He graduated from Apostolos Petros and Pavlos lyceum and served his military service as a Reserve Infantry Officer. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialising in Statistical and Operational Research, a postgraduate degree (MSc) from Warwick University, Warwick Business School, on Financial Mathematics (Financial Engineering) and the professional title ACA, Associated Chartered Accountant, from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as the professional title Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He also holds an Advanced Certificate of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission as well as an AML certificate. Since 2014 he is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.

He has fifteen years of experience in the private accounting and financial services sector of Cyprus. He started his professional career in one of the major audit firms in Cyprus, as a certified accountant, specialising in the tax sector. He then worked as executive director in companies providing corporate and investment services with presence both in Cyprus and internationally, with specialisation in the field of regulatory compliance. He also collaborated with the University of Nicosia as a specialist scientist in the field of finance teaching. He was a member and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing Finance Corporation for 4 consecutive years, a member of professional association committees and a member of the Board of Directors of the Anorthosis Ammochostou Club. Finally, he was a member of Protoporia Athens, as well as a member of the Supreme Council of the Democratic Rally. During 2022, he was the campaign manager of the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides.

He is married to Christia Karsera, and they have three boys, Kyriakos, Yiannis and Andreas Epifanios.
