The President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades signed today Wednesday, December 6^th, 2018, at the USA Embassy, in Lefkosia the book of condolences for the passing away of former US President George H. W. Bush.

In his message, President Anastasiades wrote the following:

“As a true leader, George H.W. Bush, exemplified a lifetime of service which was an inspiration to all. His diplomacy and commitment to ideals and values, particularly at critical times in world history, demonstrated that with leadership comes great responsibility. He was a respected statesman that led the world into a new era with pragmatism, dedication and integrity. 

Our deepest condolences are with his family and the people of the United States of America.”
