The President of the Republic will participate in the proceedings of the Informal European Council in Romania
The President of the Republic ,Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, arrived today in Sibiu, Romania, in order to participate in the proceedings of the Informal European Council which will take place tomorrow.
The proceedings of the Council will deal with the Future of Europe and the Strategic Agenda of the European Union for the period 2019-2024.
During the Council, the President will raise the issue of the recent illegal actions by Turkey in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus by way of continuing the strong protests that have been launched in the institutions and the member states of the European Union and which are in progress.
In addition, on the sidelines of the Conference of the Informal European Council, the President will hold bilateral meetings with heads of state and government of EU member states.
Earlier, tomorrow, President Anastasiades will participate in the proceedings of the European Popular Party (EPP) in Sibiu, where he will make an Intervention during which he will brief the heads of state and government that participate in the EPP, about the provocations by Turkey in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus.
The President of the Republic is accompanied in Sibiu by the Government Spokesman, Mr. Prodromos Prodromou.
