The swearing-in ceremony and training of the first group of translators who have been registered at the Register of Sworn Translators took place today, at the Press and Information Office, in Nicosia.

The Director of the Press and Information Office and President of the Council of Registration of Sworn Translators, Ms Sophie Michaelidou, addressed the ceremony and awarded the certificates to the Sworn Translators.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mr Kypros Kyprianou, also addressed the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the PIO staff performed training of the Sworn Translators on how to stamp certified translations and informed them about the certifying procedures to be followed, based on the relevant legislation.
