The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January – April 2019. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country.                                                         

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

1. Total imports in January – April 2019 amounted to €2.622,2 mn as compared to €2.978,8 mn in January – April 2018. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January – April 2019 were €1.172,5 mn compared to €1.614,0 mn in January – April 2018. The trade deficit was €1.449,7 mn in January – April 2019 compared to €1.364,8 mn in the corresponding month of 2018.
2. Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January – April 2019 were €377,8 mn compared to €440,0 mn in January – April 2018. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January – April 2019 were €331,1 mn compared to €391,1 mn in January – April 2018. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January – April 2019 were €40,7 mn compared to €43,6 mn in January – April  2018.
