Based on the decisions of the Council of Ministers, as of 15 May 2022, it is recommended that all citizens, regardless of vaccination history, undergo a self-test or Rapid test once a week.According to the Ministerial Decision, all groups of citizens may be served through the mobile rapid antigen testing units free of charge, regardless of their vaccination history. EMA recommends approval of Imvanex for the prevention of monkeypox disease
EMA’s human medicines committee (CHMP) has recommended extending the indication of the smallpox vaccine Imvanex to include protecting adults from monkeypox disease.The medicine has been approved in the EU since 2013 for the prevention of smallpox. It contains an attenuated (weakened) form of the vaccinia virus called ‘modified vaccinia virus Ankara’, which is related to the smallpox virus. Archaeological site of Tamassos
