The President of the Republic will participate in the European Council Summit deliberations in Brussels
ThePresident of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades,will participatein thedeliberations of the European Council which will take place in Brussels on 17 and 18 October 2019.
Among the issues to be discussed by the Council are the situation in Syria, and the turkish violations against the Republic of Cyprus, an issue added to the agenda at the request of the President of the Republic.
Other issues on the agenda of the Council are the Brexit, climate change, the long-term EU budget and the EU strategic agenda 2019-2024.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied in Brussels by the Government Spokesman, Mr Prodromos Prodromou.
