Social Media

Apart from the name and other information voluntarily provided by the user (in a private message), the PIO does not collect or process information from the content resulting from a user's activity on social media.

We use the Facebook pixel (code placed on the PIO website) to optimize our Facebook ads and create targeted audiences for future ads. Visitors to the pio.gov.cy website proceed after consenting to the use of strictly necessary cookies.

The PIO is not responsible for or exerts any influence on the processing of users' personal data by the networks themselves. The purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing of data by the social network and the relevant rights of users and the setting options for the protection of the user's privacy, can be found in the privacy policy of the respective social network (Facebook,X, Google).
