Presentation of Credentials of the new Ambassador of Cyprus to Iraq
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus, Dr. Andreas P. Kouzoupis, with residence in Amman, presented last Monday his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih.
Conveying the warm greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, Mr Kouzoupis underlined the great importance that Cyprus attaches to the further development of its relations with Iraq, in all fields.
President Salih asked the Ambassador of Cyprus to convey his warm regards to President Anastasiades. Referring to the traditional very good and friendly bilateral relations between the two countries, the President of Iraq stressed the need also to firther strengthen the existing mechanisms for cooperation in our region with a view to achieving peace, prosperity and development in the Middle East.
During his staying in Baghdad, Ambassador Kouzoupis, met with the Minister of Trade of Iraq, and, other officials, with the aim of fostering the economic and trade relations between Cyprus and Iraq.
