The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for January 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a)      Total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU Member States) in January 2018 amounted to €616,4 mn as compared to €633,6 mn in January  2017. 

Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January 2018 were €203,6  mn compared to €180,6 mn in January  2017. 

The trade deficit was €412,9 mn in January  2018  compared to €453,0  mn in the corresponding month of 2017.

(b)      Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in January 2018 were €115,7 mn as compared to €99,0 mn in  January  2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in January 2018 were €87,9 mn as compared to €81,6 mn in January 2017.  

Total domestic exports of industrial products in January 2018 were €106,0 mn compared to €89,6 mn in January  2017.

Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January 2018 were €7,8 mn compared to €6,9 mn in January  2017.
