Foreign trade statistics for November 2017

The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for November 2017.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) in January-November 2017 amounted to €7.336,4 mn as compared to €6.444,7 mn in January-November 2016. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January-November 2017 were €2.677,1 mn compared to €2.515,4 mn in January-November 2016. The trade deficit was €4.659,3 mn in January-November 2017 compared to €3.929,4 mn in the corresponding period of 2016.

(b) During November 2017 total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) valued at €1.016,9 mn as compared to €866,0 mn in November 2016.

(c) Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States), including stores and provisions, in November 2017 amounted to €226,3 mn as compared to €215,0 mn in November 2016. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in November 2017 were €128,2 mn as compared to €99,0 mn in November 2016 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in November 2017 were €98,1 mn as compared to €116,0 mn in November 2016. Total domestic exports of industrial products in November 2017 were €121,6 mn compared to €90,0 mn in November 2016. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in November 2017 were €5,2 mn compared to €6,6 mn in November 2016.
