COVID-19 vaccinations in mountain areas to facilitate residents

Aiming to facilitate, as much as possible, the access for residents of mountain communities to COVID-19 vaccination units, under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Mr Michalis Hadjipantela, and in consultation with the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, Mr Costas Champiaouris, the Ministry of Health organises vaccinations with a mobile vaccination unit on Saturday, 23 October 2021, in the communities of Evrychou and Trimiklini.

According to the schedule, vaccinations will be carried out on Saturday at the following locations:

  • Evrychou Health Centre, hours: 8-10:30 a.m.
  • Office of the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, Trimlini, hours: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Specifically, at the above locations the mobile unit will serve only the following groups of citizens:

  1. Persons aged 12 years and over, who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (1st dose administration).
  2. Persons aged 12 years and over, who have received the 1st dose of Pfiser/BioNTech vaccine and the period of three (3) weeks required for the 2nd dose and the completion of their vaccination scheme (2nd dose administration) has elapsed.
  3. In regards with the vaccination with the booster/3rd dose, people aged 60 years and over will be served, provided that a period of six (6) months has necessarily elapsed from the date of vaccination with the 2nd dose.

It is reminded that all citizens must carry proof of identity (identity card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.) as well as their vaccination card, in case of people who will receive the 2nd or 3rd dose.
