The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Mr Juraj Blanár, will pay an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday, 9 May 2024, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Constantinos Kombos.

In the framework of the visit, the two Ministers will have a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations of the two Ministries. After the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media.

Discussions will focus on, inter alia, bilateral relations between Cyprus and Slovakia, the Cyprus problem, as well as a number of other issues of concern to the two countries at European level. The Ministers will also exchange views on current international issues, focusing on the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine.

During his stay in Cyprus, Mr Blanár will be received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and will attend the flagship event marking the 20th anniversary of Cyprus' accession to the European Union.
