The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” in September 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a)        Total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU Member States) in January-September 2018 amounted to €6.586,8 mn as compared to €5.556,6 mn in January-September 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January-September 2018 were € 3.537,3mn compared to €2.324,8 mn in January-September 2017. The trade deficit was €3.049,5 mn in January-September 2018 compared to €3.231,8 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b)       During September 2018 total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU Member States) valued at €663,0 mn as compared to €531,0 mn in September 2017.

(c)        Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States), including stores and provisions, in September 2018 amounted to €263,4 mn as compared to €263,0 mn in September 2017. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in September 2018 were €154,4 mn as compared to €90,0 mn in September 2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in September 2018 were €109,0 mn as compared to €173,0 mn in September 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in September 2018 were €148,1 mn compared to €82,6 mn in September 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in September 2018 were €3,8 mn compared to €5,1 mn in September 2017.
