The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication: “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)”, for October 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

 (a)      Total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) in January-October 2018 amounted to €7.310,7 mn as compared to €6.454,9 mn in January-October 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January-October 2018 were €3.872,6 mn compared to €2.506,6 mn in January-October 2017. The trade deficit was €3.438,1 mn in January-October 2018 compared to €3.948,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b)      During October 2018 total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU member states) valued at €723,9 mn as compared to €898,3 mn in October 2017.

(c)       Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states), including stores and provisions, in October 2018 amounted to €335,3 mn as compared to €181,8 mn in October 2017. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in October 2018 were €122,4 mn as compared to €97,1 mn in October 2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in October 2018 were €212,9 mn as compared to €84,7 mn in October 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in October 2018 were €115,9 mn compared to €90,9 mn in October 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in October 2018 were €4,5 mn compared to €3,9 mn in October 2017.
