The period October 2018 - February 2019 is the second rainiest hydrometeorological year since 1901

According to the preliminary data of the Department of Meteorology the cumulative area average precipitation during the period October 2018 - February 2019 was almost 620.8mm, or 165% of normal (normal is that of the climatological period: 1961-1990).

The cumulative precipitation was well above normal almost in all areas.

The cumulative precipitation of first five months of the hydrometeorological year 2018-2019 (namely October, November, December, January and February) rank it as the second rainest year since 1901 for the respective 5-month period.
