The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication “Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January-December 2017. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods, classified by the 6^th digit commodity code and by partner country.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a)  Total imports in January-December 2017 amounted to €8.092,8 mn as compared to €7.117,5 mn in January- December 2016. Total exports in January- December 2017 were €2.961,0 mn compared to €2.714,2 mn in January-December 2016. The trade deficit was €5.131,8 mn in January- December 2017 compared to €4.403,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2016.

(b)  Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January-December 2017 were €1.241,4 mn compared to €953,5 mn in January-December 2016. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January-December 2017 were €1.123,4 mn compared to €839,6 mn in January-December 2016.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January-December 2017 were €99,2 mn compared to €102,6 mn in January- December 2016.
