Israel Minister of Defense, Mr Naftali Bennett, hosted (February 10) his Cypriot counterpart, the Minister of Defense, Mr Savvas Angelides, in his formal visit to the State of Israel.

The Ministers discussed the current strategic environment and future security developments in the region and their subsequent implications on their respective countries.

The Ministers underscored the close and warm relations between the State of Israel and the Republic of Cyprus, which stem from shared values and mutual interests, and expressed their contentment from the firm defense ties between the nations.

Both leaders discussed ways to promote the defense cooperation between their respective defense establishments in light of the regional challenges.
